WWE NXT kicked off with its reigning champion in the ring following Vengeance Day. It was a strong start to the show after Oba Femi was ambushed by masked individuals right after his victory over Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.
The episode continued under the guidance of Shawn Michaels and Ava, aiming for a solid performance. However, it faltered in several areas due to significant errors. Former AEW talent Ricky Starks joined the brand under a new moniker, Ricky Saints, which while not bad on paper, he could have retained his original name.
Jordynne Grace made her mark in the women’s division after her impactful appearance at Vengeance Day, immediately making her presence felt on Tuesday night.

#3. Lack of Impact in Oba Femi and Moose’s Face-Off
Oba Femi initiated NXT after a successful title defense against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. He issued a challenge to the four assailants who attacked him post-match to confront him.
Instead of the masked quartet, TNA’s Moose made an entrance to a rousing reception, facing off against one of WWE’s toughest competitors.
While their staredown was intense, their promos fell short. Both individuals struggled on the mic with cliched exchanges to kickstart the segment. A subtle tease and confrontation might have built anticipation for a clash between the two imposing figures.
#2. Prolonging Feuds Post Vengeance Day
WWE NXT Vengeance Day featured compelling matches to conclude ongoing rivalries. Notably, Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe engaged in a Strap Match.
The encounter was well-executed, leading to Thorpe securing a significant victory. Ideally, the feud could have concluded at this point. However, the creative team opted to extend it further on the subsequent episode.
A similar narrative unfolded for Ethan Page and Je’Von Evans. While it appeared that Page would initiate a rivalry with Ricky Saints, Evans intervened, prompting the antagonist to flee.
Prolonging these feuds may not enhance the storytelling and alternate directions could have been explored. Directly pitting Eddy Thorpe against Ricky Saints and having Ethan Page target another prominent face on NXT could have diversified the narratives.
#1. Jordynne Grace Aligns with Women’s Champions
Jordynne Grace hinted at a future altercation with NXT Women’s Champion Giulia and Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer at Vengeance Day. WWE seems to be fast-tracking a rivalry that could have been saved for later.
In the latest NXT episode, she teamed up with Giulia and Vaquer after rescuing them from an assault by Fatal Influence.
The trio emerged victorious against their adversaries, with the spotlight on Jordynne Grace’s debut as a WWE talent.
It was surprising to see her immediately aligning with the top female talents of the brand. Alternatively, she could have embarked on a solo rivalry with Fatal Influence and showcased her dominance individually. Fans anticipate her eventual turn and challenge for one of the women’s titles.
