Three individuals have been apprehended in connection with the demise of a kind-hearted citizen in Arizona.
Authorities disclosed that Paul Clifford, aged 53, was discovered deceased adjacent to a burning vehicle on Christmas Eve.
Investigators theorize that the suspects visited Paul Clifford’s residence seeking assistance with vehicle issues. His family contacted the authorities after losing contact with him.

Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) Homicide Detectives acquired intel indicating the suspects might be in the vicinity of Benson Highway near Country Club Rd.
PCSD Fugitive Investigations Unit (FIU) commenced the hunt for the suspects and the vehicle, ultimately locating them with assistance from various investigative and support units of PCSD.
“PCSD Homicide Detectives secured a search warrant for the premises, and the Pima Regional SWAT Team executed the warrant at the specified location. The suspects barricaded themselves indoors, and eventually dialed 9-1-1 to negotiate a surrender. All three suspects voluntarily exited the premises and were apprehended without further trouble,” the sheriff’s department articulated in a statement.

“We are profoundly saddened by the loss of my father. He was a kind soul with a huge, compassionate heart,” expressed Sabrina Vining on a GoFundMe page.
Elmer Smith, aged 19, Jack Upchurch, aged 40, and Wendy Scott, aged 16, were incarcerated in the Pima County Adult Detention Center on serious arrest warrants.
The investigation remains ongoing, with additional charges pending.
