Emerging and innovative technologies often cause a mix of excitement and apprehension, and generative artificial intelligence (gen AI) is no different. In the realm of marketing and sales, the interest in gen AI is especially high. According to a recent McKinsey survey of nearly 4,000 commercial leaders, around one in five sales organizations have already incorporated at least one gen AI application, while many others are actively experimenting with it. The initial outcomes show promise: two-thirds of the participants note that gen AI has been “very” or “extremely” beneficial.
