  • Uber rolls out robotic sidewalk delivery in Atlanta The Uber Eats on-demand delivery subsidiary of Uber is rolling out autonomous delivery robots from Serve Robotics in the Atlanta metro area. Serve’s autonomous delivery robots have rolled onto the sidewalks of several Atlanta neighborhoods and are integrated into the Uber Eats app, and customers who order from participating Atlanta restaurants including Shake Shack may receive a robotic delivery.
  • Kroger obtains real-time consumer insights The Kroger Co. is leveraging a next-gen platform to analyze up-to-date consumer data for optimized decision making. The grocery conglomerate is leveraging the Tastewise consumer insights solution to obtain actual data about its customers with a one-minute turnaround time. Kroger has gained access to current data that helps it identify and explore new opportunities and ensure its promotional and merchandising efforts match dynamic consumer preferences.
  • Amazon sets dates for 96-hour Prime Day event Amazon has made the exact timing of this year’s Prime Day sales extravaganza official – and it will be longer than ever before. Following a confirmation that it will be held in July, Amazon has announced that its Prime Day 2025 promotion will take place from Tuesday, July 8 – Friday, July 11. This marks the first time Prime Day will last four days.
  • Giant Eagle migrates largest distribution center to the cloud Giant Eagle Inc. is continuing to transition its distribution facilities from an on-premise warehouse management to a cloud-based solution. The Pittsburgh-based regional grocer has implemented the Manhattan Associates Active Warehouse Management solution at its largest supply chain facility, a more than one-million-square-foot hub in Bedford Heights, Ohio.
  • Carrefour pilots connected store format A global French retail giant is testing a store platform that includes computer vision and electronic shelf labels. French retail conglomerate Carrefour S.A. Group, which operates more than 14,000 global hypermarkets, grocery stores, and convenience stores, is piloting the VusionGroup EdgeSense store technology platform in a hypermarket in Villabé, France.
