Sadhguru Explores Life, Death, and Conscious Living on California Book Tour

India-West Staff Reporter

LOS ANGELES, CA — Globally acclaimed yogi and spiritual teacher Sadhguru visited Los Angeles from June 16 to 18, drawing a packed crowd at the Dolby Theatre and sparking citywide interest in his latest book, ‘Death and Beyond’. The event was part of his U.S. book tour promoting the bestseller, which has topped both the USA Today and Amazon charts.

The Los Angeles stop was more than a book launch—it was an invitation to reflect deeply on life, mortality, and the urgent need for conscious living.

“We’re on a limited lease of time and energy,” Sadhguru told the audience. “If we become truly conscious of this, we would do only what truly matters. Death is not the opposite of life—it’s just a different dimension. When we become aware of our mortality, we live more fully, more joyfully.”

In recognition of his global contributions, the City of Los Angeles presented Sadhguru with a certificate of recognition from Mayor Karen Bass. The honor acknowledged his efforts to uplift human well-being and promote sustainable practices through the Isha Foundation.

During the event, Sadhguru also unveiled the ‘Miracle of Mind’ app—a 7-minute daily meditation tool aimed at reducing stress, improving focus, and supporting brain health. Developed over two years by the Isha Foundation, the app is backed by research led by Dr. Balachundhar Subramaniam of Harvard Medical School. The peer-reviewed study suggests that deep yogic meditation may reverse aspects of brain aging.

“Stress, anxiety, anger, hatred—these are not normal. We’ve just normalized them,” Sadhguru said. “Yoga is a powerful way to re-engineer the inner system so the mind works for us, not against us.”

Throughout his time in LA, Sadhguru emphasized a core message: the human system is the most sophisticated machine on the planet. And with the right tools—like meditation, yoga, and self-awareness—people can unlock balance, clarity, and a life of purpose.
