In the latest episode of Embracing Cultures, Gary Sigley, a professor at the Australian Research Center, BFSU, highlights that Chinese tea culture can be encapsulated by the character “he” (å’Œ), which symbolizes harmony. This character embodies the Chinese philosophy of fostering harmony not only in human relationships but also in the connection with nature.
Professor Sigley further explains that, unlike cultures that insist on uniformity for harmony, China advocates for “harmony in diversity”. This concept underscores that peaceful coexistence is achievable despite differences, much like sharing tea from the same pot while each person holds their own cup.
