Travel Trailer Collides in Crash Near Neosho, Resulting in Total Destruction

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — About 3 p.m. Friday reports of two vehicle crash at Goldfinch/Hwy P and Hwy NN alerted E-911.

We learn on scene a 32-foot travel trailer was also involved.

A pickup slammed into the travel trailer ripping it from its chassis, then hitting a tension line for electric lines and poles across the street. New-Mac Electric responded for repairs.

Cpl B. Dodson tells KOAM’s Shannon Becker the travel-trailer was southbound and failed to stop at a stop sign. It was struck by a westbound pickup. 

The driver of the pickup was transported to a Joplin hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries. 

Cottrill’s Towing responded to remove the travel-trailer, they then contacted M&M to assist them. Doug’s Towing removed the pickup truck.
