Join Dr. Xand Van Tulleken from Operation Ouch! at the Science and Industry Museum Next Month

Visitors to Manchester’s Science and Industry Museum will have the chance to meet a star of the hit show Operation Ouch! this August.

Dr Xand Van Tulleken, one of the presenters of hit BBC Children and Education’s show, will be at the museum on Tue 12 Aug as part of the latest blockbuster exhibition, Operation Ouch! Brains, Bogies and You.

As well as joining mini medics on the voyage, Dr Xand will be on hand to answer brain teasers from the audience during a series of live Q&As.

Dr Xand, alongside his co-hosts Dr Chris and Dr Ronx, have provided unique inspiration for the museum’s latest world-premiere exhibition, which sees visitors take on an epic romp through the senses. Whether it’s banging on a super-sized eardrum, venturing into a massive eyeball and even taking a whiff of a “smell library”, the exhibition dives into the science behind hearing, sight, touch, taste and smell.

His visit comes in the midst of a senses-themed summer at the museum, where visitors can enjoy everything from silent discos and interactive workshops to science shows, a bogie lab and brain-boggling challenges, during six weeks of activities dedicated to exploring how our senses work.

Budding gamers can also immerse themselves in Power Up, the ultimate gaming experience, where they can rock out with Guitar Hero, see a whole new world with virtual reality headsets or show off their moves with Just Dance on the big screen. Day passes cost £8 and Annual passes are available to purchase for £15, meaning gamers can unlock a new level of play and gain access to the experience for a whole year.

Tickets to meet Dr Xand, along with more information about the day, can be found using the button below.
