High quality art exhibitions, sculpture, a makers’ market, art demonstrations and workshops are among the attractions on offer.
There will be exciting new artists showing their work alongside established favourites and event patrons: potter Walter Keeler, artist Alex Brown, and sculptor Christine Baxter.
The event organisers, all volunteers, have for the first time partnered with the Gwent Wildlife Trust whose Pentwyn Farm centre will host family-friendly events focused on the wildlife and ecology of the area.
Pelham Hall will house the main fine art exhibition along with the makers’ market.
The Bush Inn plays host to a sculpture garden, plus a display of artwork by students from Monmouth’s secondary schools, and the Made in Monmouthshire art and crafts co-operative.
The festival takes place from Saturday 23 to Monday August 25. See the Art in Penallt website for details.
