Vice President Kamala Harris has been the presumptive, and now official Democratic nominee for president for 54 days without holding a press conference.
She met with former President Trump on Tuesday at the ABC News Presidential Debate.
Under pressure to do a substantive interview after avoiding it for weeks, Harris recently broke her interview silence by joining running mate Tim Walz for a pre-taped segment with CNN’s Dana Bash in Georgia. However, it was not a traditional press conference.
“Anyone who aspires to lead the free world should be prepared to answer questions from the press,” said conservative influencer Tim Young to Fox News Digital. “If Kamala cannot handle questions from the press, she will struggle with negotiations with foreign leaders.”

Harris also participated in two pre-recorded radio interviews last week, which aired on Friday and Monday.
It’s uncertain if Harris will hold a formal press conference, especially while she is a candidate.
Conservative Radio Libre host Jorge Bonilla believes Harris should have a press conference but states that it is almost “irrelevant” due to the lack of accountability she faces.

Meaike believes this approach is “disrespectful” to Americans.
Trump has been highlighting the difference in media availability between himself and Harris by conducting lengthy interviews and holding press conferences.
