The Breezeway Community Art Project was officially celebrated with a special dedication ceremony today. New barn quilt paintings, created by Elizabethton High School students and recent graduates, now adorn the 600 block breezeway along Main Street in downtown Elizabethton.
The artists said each square reflects the culture and heritage of growing up in Elizabethton, celebrating local pride through color and creativity.
This project is funded by the Tennessee Art Commission’s “Arts Build Communities Grant.”
