Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means more streaming, new playlists, and the best that music has to offer — and ET has you covered for everything in between.
Earlier this week, Lady Gaga announced a surprise album Harlequin, inspired by her character Harley Quinn from Joker: Folie à Deux. The album was co-executive produced entirely by Lady Gaga and her fiancé Michael Polansky. 130 lucky fans got to hear the album this week in London at an album listening party where she shared what the music meant to her.
It’s also a week of celebrating anniversaries. Ciara is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album Goodies with a special vinyl reissue. She also released a new song featuring Busta Rhymes which she calls a “fun flex record.” Christina Aguilera is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her self-titled debut album and reimagined several tracks including “Genie In a Bottle” featuring MGK and “What a Girl Wants” featuring Sabrina Carpenter.
And as fans are waiting for Shawn Mendes’ new album, last weekend, he returned for his first full headlining set since his tour cancellation, at the final night of Rock in Rio’s main stage and performed to a sold-out crowd. Shawn performed some of his hits as well as new songs from his upcoming album, Shawn out on October 18.
Plus, new music from The Weeknd, Luke Bryan, Shakira, Mickey Guyton, Cody Johnson, Carrie Underwood & more.
