Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance criticized the Biden-Harris administration’s response to Hurricane Helene as incompetent during an interview on “Fox & Friends” on Monday.
Vance claimed that FEMA has been preoccupied with illegal immigrants due to the administration’s incompetence.
“I believe the main error made by the Kamala Harris administration is that they should have implemented a military-style command and control approach from the beginning,” he stated. “With eight different bureaucratic organizations involved, there are delays in providing necessary resources. Empowering a military commander on the ground would help streamline the process and cut through bureaucratic hurdles.”
“The issue here, in my opinion, is like dealing with an enormous DMV operation, and as a result, many people in North Carolina are suffering needlessly,” Vance added. “I hope we avoid unnecessary loss of life, but unfortunately, it seems likely, all due to the incompetence displayed by the president and vice president who are not prioritizing their responsibilities.”

Vance also criticized the administration for allocating separate funds for illegal immigrants while neglecting the needs of American citizens during the hurricane aftermath.
“The focus on aiding illegal immigrants instead of American citizens is a critical mistake by the Biden-Harris administration,” he asserted. “This diversion of resources distracts from the primary duty of assisting American citizens during times of crisis.”
Vance went on to describe the administration’s response to Hurricane Helene as a “complete failure of leadership,” illustrating the contrast with past natural disaster responses.
