Imagine being able to join a Zoom call from your office while lounging in a hammock with a margarita in hand, thanks to a new startup called Pickle. The concept is simple: submit a five-minute training video to create an avatar of yourself and within 24 hours, you’re good to go. Whether you’re calling from a car, staying in bed, or even at a beach club, Pickle allows you to keep up appearances. The service offers basic, standard, and pro versions priced between $300 to $1,150 per year.
Supported by L.A. venture firm Krew Capital, Pickle currently only works with MacOS, but a Windows version is expected next month. Customers can choose from Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams for their conferencing needs, though there may be delays due to high demand for avatar generation.
