Homebuyers often view shopping for a home as finding a safe haven where they, their family, and friends can feel welcome and secure.

But what happens if something goes wrong during a home showing that shatters that sense of security?

TAKE THE INMAN INTEL INDEX SURVEY FOR NOVEMBER

An alarming incident involving a 6-year-old girl at one of Karina VanOrman’s home showings in South Ogden, Utah, led her to advise against bringing children along to showings.

During a showing for a 1970s-era home, the girl ran through the house excitedly and collided with a closed sliding glass door, resulting in a serious injury that required an airlift to the hospital.

Due to the seriousness of the incident, VanOrman now advises against bringing young children to home showings to avoid potential risks and injuries.
