Skims co-founder Jens Grede has confirmed in a recent interview with WWD that plans for an IPO are currently postponed, at least for the time being.
Despite reports from TechCrunch and The Information suggesting a potential IPO in the first half of 2025, Grede clarified Skims’ stance on going public during the WWD interview.
Speaking to the outlet, Grede stated, “We have never made a decision to go public. All I’ve ever said is that we may deserve to be a public company at some point. We have long-term investors who are very supportive of our journey. While an IPO may be a consideration in the future, it is not something we are currently focusing on.”
In essence, the possibility of an IPO for Skims still remains, so be sure to keep an eye out for any future developments.
