Defense lawyers for Oren and Alon Alexander appeared in court on Monday, but due to a paperwork issue, the bond review for the brothers was postponed. Judge Lody Jean expressed concern that the house arrests for the brothers could pose a significant challenge given the federal charges they are facing.

Lawyers representing Oren and Alon Alexander were in court on Monday for a bond review regarding sexual battery charges in Miami.
Although the brothers were not present in court, their defense attorneys, including Joel Denaro, discussed the bond terms with Judge Lody Jean.
Oren, a high-earning luxury producer and cofounder of Official Partners, was granted a proposed bond of $3 million, secured by his father’s home in Bal Harbour, along with a $25,000 corporate surety bond from Roy Zemlock of Bail Miami. He was also placed under house arrest with GPS monitoring and ordered to stay away from his alleged victims.
Alon, a private security executive, was granted a $2 million bond, also secured by his father’s home, and a $25,000 corporate surety bond from Zemlock. Like Oren, Alon was placed under house arrest with a GPS monitor and ordered to stay away from his alleged victims.
On Friday, Judge Jean indicated that she would finalize the bond terms when the attorneys could provide assurance that the bond funds were available, which was expected on Monday. However, Denaro explained in court on Monday that they attempted to send certified copies of the court orders to the state for review, but the orders were not delivered. As a result, Denaro requested to postpone the matter until Thursday, which was agreed upon by Judge Jean.
During the hearing on Monday, Judge Jean also expressed concerns about the specifics of Oren and Alon’s house arrests, noting that it could present challenges.
Given that the brothers are also facing federal sex trafficking charges, the state must await developments in federal court. Even if the state grants their bonds, Oren and Alon will not be fitted with house arrest GPS monitors unless they are fully bonded out from both state and federal jurisdictions.
Judge Jean added that obtaining bond in federal court might prove more difficult for the brothers due to the nature of the charges in that jurisdiction.
Tal Alexander, Oren’s cofounder at Official, who also faces federal sex trafficking charges, was denied bond during his Friday hearing. Denaro mentioned during the Monday hearing that his attorneys have filed a motion to reconsider this decision.
The Miami charges against Oren and Alon are related to three separate alleged rape incidents in 2016, 2017, and 2021, all involving Oren.
Last Wednesday, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York announced the brothers’ arrest in Florida for sex trafficking offenses.
“The Alexander brothers allegedly conspired using their wealth and status to prey on innocent women, coercing them into engaging in sexual acts,” FBI Assistant Director in Charge James E. Dennehy stated in a press release. “We will not allow this type of alleged behavior to go unimpeded. Predators forcefully coercing victims into sexual acts cannot and will not be tolerated. The FBI’s investigations into these types of cases are only possible because of the bravery victims show in coming forward.”
Over the past few months, all three brothers have faced lawsuits alleging sexual assault and rape against women dating back to 2010. As more reports emerged, numerous women came forward to attorneys accusing the brothers of similar misconduct.
Million Dollar Listing LA star and Douglas Elliman agent Tracy Tutor told The New York Times she believed she had been drugged by Oren, and Elliman top producer Jessica Cohen told The NYT that she believed she had been drugged by one or more brothers one night before waking up in a Manhattan hospital unable to reconstruct memories of the previous evening.
