Fortnite is currently celebrating Christmas with its Winterfest event, offering presents to open and more. However, there’s a unique twist in store.
A giant ice block in the middle of the Fortnite map is slowly melting/shattering, revealing none other than Mariah Carey inside. Yes, you read that right.
Datamining has confirmed that Mariah Carey is indeed inside the ice block, and her skin has been revealed.
Mariah Carey’s skin is set to arrive in Fortnite on Friday, December 20, as the ice block is expected to be destroyed before then. This will introduce a giant Mariah Carey to the map, complete with her iconic Christmas song, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”.
Mariah Carey’s presence in Fortnite may seem unexpected, but this is a game that has added various unique characters in the past. The ice block’s reference to a specific meme where she broke out of ice in a similar fashion further adds to the intrigue.
We can also expect a Mariah Carey-themed emote, featuring her popular Christmas song. The availability of this emote for free or as a limited-time offer is still uncertain.
Mariah Carey will join the growing list of musical icon skins in Fortnite, expanding the game’s collaboration with renowned artists across different genres.
