Blake Lively has taken an unprecedented action against her recent co-star, Justin Baldoni.
After months of speculation about a feud between the two actors who played the lead roles in this year’s film It Ends With Us, Lively filed a lawsuit this week against Baldoni for sexual harassment.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Lively accuses Baldoni of creating a hostile work environment on the set of the film and participating in a campaign against his colleague.
Documents claim that Baldoni caused “severe emotional distress” to Lively by showing nude images of women and discussing his past pornography addiction or sexual conquests.
The lawsuit reveals that Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, even attended a meeting to address these issues.
According to TMZ, other prohibited topics included “no further mentions of cast and crew’s genitalia, no more inquiries about Blake’s weight, and no further mention of Blake’s deceased father.”
(Lively’s dad passed away in 2021.)
The meeting mentioned above also demanded “no more adding of sex scenes, oral sex, or on-camera climaxing by BL outside the scope of the script BL approved when signing onto the project,” as reported by TMZ.
There were disagreements over the final cut of It Ends With Us, in which Lively served as a producer, as well as disputes over the movie’s marketing.
Lively claims that Baldoni and his team engaged in a “social manipulation” campaign to “destroy” her reputation.
The lawsuit includes text messages from Baldoni’s publicist that suggest a desire to harm Lively’s reputation.
Baldoni and Lively avoided appearing together on the red carpet or giving joint interviews during the promotion of It Ends With Us.
Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has denounced Lively’s lawsuit as an attempt to fix her reputation.
Prior to the film’s release, Baldoni expressed that a potential sequel is not yet in the works and he is focused on staying in the present.
It’s safe to predict that if a sequel does happen, it will not feature Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
