Ruben Amorim acknowledges that Manchester United are currently experiencing “maybe one of their lowest moments” and emphasizes the need for everyone, including the sidelined Marcus Rashford, to remain resilient.
Following a heavy 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford, leaving them 13th in the Premier League table, Amorim’s team faces a challenging visit to Wolves on Boxing Day after losing three of their last four matches.
Meanwhile, former United star Rashford has been absent from the last three matchday squads and recently expressed his desire for a “new challenge.”
When asked about the potentially distracting nature of the Rashford situation, Amorim responded, “No, I don’t think so. Not for me, not for the other players. Because everyone is present and committed during training. They understand. That’s the crucial point. I cannot control how it’s perceived by the media and others, but it’s not a concern for us.”
Amorim stressed his clear expectations and message to all players, including Rashford, reaffirming that there are no distractions within the team despite external noise.
Amorim also clarified that Rashford’s omission from recent squads is solely his decision, emphasizing the importance of players giving their best amidst the current challenges faced by the club.
