AMD faces a tough challenge at CES 2025 as rival Nvidia continues to dominate the AI market. To compete with Nvidia’s reported RTX 5000 announcement, AMD needs to showcase its own next-gen GPU.
As part of a rebranding effort, the RDNA 4 cards may be released as either the RX 8000 or RX 9000 series. Regardless of the final name and number, AMD has a lot of work ahead of them for this year’s show.
The press conference begins early at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET on January 6. AMD’s senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group, Jack Huynh, along with other executives, will discuss the company’s expansion in PCs and gaming, as well as showcase their high-performance computing and AI product portfolio with partners and customers.
The event will be livestreamed on YouTube.
