Multi-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Anissa Meksen has been training in mixed martial arts for some time.
With regards to ‘C18’, now is the perfect time for her to make the transition to MMA if the right opportunity arises. Speaking at the ONE Friday Fights 92 virtual press conference, Meksen expressed her interest in stepping into the MMA world:
“You know I can fight in Muay Thai, kickboxing – it’s all the same for me. But maybe I want to try MMA because I’ve been training in MMA for four years, so why not make my debut?”

Anissa Meksen could seamlessly transition to other combat disciplines within ONE Championship, thanks to the organization’s diverse sports divisions. Given her exceptional striking abilities, she could potentially become a contender right away.
If she chooses to compete in atomweight or strawweight, there are numerous exciting match-ups awaiting the 36-year-old striker. Having already showcased her skills in Muay Thai and kickboxing at ONE, Meksen could become the promotion’s next three-sport athlete.

Prior to considering a move to MMA, Anissa Meksen must concentrate on her upcoming challenge on Dec. 20 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In a three-round atomweight kickboxing clash at ONE Friday Fights 92: Sitthichai vs. Shadow, ‘C18’ aims to welcome Japanese star Kana Morimoto to ONE Championship with a tough fight.
Despite facing defeat in her last two world title fights, Meksen is determined to demonstrate her prowess in women’s striking. ONE Friday Fights 92 will be broadcast live in Asian primetime to more than 190 countries worldwide.
