An incident occurred at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) on Friday morning, where an aircraft had to abort takeoff and passengers used emergency slides to deboard. The airport stated that four passengers suffered minor injuries.

The Boeing 757-300 involved in the incident had 201 customers, two pilots, and five flight attendants on board, according to Delta’s email to Fox News Digital.

“Delta’s flight crew halted the takeoff of flight 2668 from Atlanta (ATL) to Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) after identifying an engine issue,” the company explained in an email statement.

“The safety of our people and customers is of utmost importance, and we apologize to our customers for the inconvenience. We are working to assist our customers and ensure their safe and swift travel to their destinations.”

The airport mentioned that operations were delayed due to the incident and ongoing severe weather conditions.

“The aircraft and runway are expected to be cleared soon,” the airport mentioned in the statement.
