While tiny houses were once seen as a more budget-friendly option compared to traditional homes, many now come with a hefty price tag and luxurious features. Dragon Tiny Homes, however, offers a compact model called The Aria for just US$50,000, keeping true to the small living movement’s humble beginnings.
The Aria is built on a double-axle trailer and finished with engineered wood. It measures 20 ft (6 m) in length, similar to European models like Baluchon’s Hytta, and features shiplap interior cladding.
Upon entering, you’ll find a basic kitchen equipped with a sink, electric stove, and fridge/freezer. There’s room for additional appliances like an oven or dishwasher, as well as plenty of cabinetry and shelving. The kitchen also includes a small breakfast bar/work area for two.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the living room, which may be compact but offers space for a small sofa and potentially an end table. Large windows and a high ceiling help create a sense of openness, and a ceiling fan is installed for comfort.
On the other side of the tiny house is the bathroom, which includes a vanity sink, a flushing toilet, and a shower (not pictured).
The Aria has one bedroom located in a loft accessed by a storage-integrated staircase. This cozy space features a double bed and a low ceiling typical of tiny house lofts.
Dragon Tiny Homes specializes in creating affordable tiny houses, offering multiple models for $50,000 or less, with their cheapest option priced at less than $24,000.
