MJF is known for his exceptional promo skills in the wrestling industry. He is a captivating presence on the microphone and often delivers entertaining performances. Recently, he got intertwined with Jeff Jarrett after a discussion about winning the AEW World Title. MJF offered assistance to Jarrett in exchange for the first title shot, but Jeff declined. In the latest Dynamite: Maximum Carnage episode, MJF and Jeff Jarrett faced each other once again.
The intense segment escalated when MJF brought up Jeff’s wife’s personal life and made disparaging remarks about her. In retaliation, Jeff shed light on Friedman’s upbringing. The situation took a darker turn when MJF mentioned the late Owen Hart, leading Jeff to physically confront him. Karen Jarrett intervened to separate the two, only for Maxwell to use her as a shield before making his escape.

Tommy Dreamer shares his thoughts on the MJF and Jeff Jarrett segment
The controversial segment between MJF and Jeff Jarrett involved personal attacks on each other’s partners. Maxwell highlighted Jeff’s wife’s past connection with Kurt Angle, while Jarrett commented on MJF’s girlfriend’s backstage reputation. Tommy Dreamer, speaking on Busted Open After Dark, criticized this aspect of the segment and suggested a different direction for their storyline.
“I could’ve done without the shots of, ‘your girlfriend’s a s*ut, while your wife was married to somebody else.’ Jeff played it up great ’cause he is like, ‘Hey, this has all been done before.’ However, then the retorts about your girlfriend being a promiscuous young lady; it got the ooo’s, and it got the aaa’s, but where does it go? Jeff Jarrett was a referee; Jeff Jarrett was always Jerry Jarrett’s son, who was a big star in wrestling,” he said.
It remains to be seen if MJF and Jeff Jarrett will settle their differences in the ring in the upcoming weeks.
