Members of the Indian team, winners of the 2024 T20 World Cup, were honored by the BCCI with diamond rings for their victory over South Africa in the final held in the West Indies and the USA. The presentation ceremony took place at the BCCI annual awards night.
A video posted by the BCCI on their official Instagram account shows the players, captained by Rohit Sharma, receiving their rings.
The highlight of the evening was legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar being presented with the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award by the BCCI.
The absence of Rahul Dravid, the team’s former head coach, and star batsman Virat Kohli was noticed, with Kohli busy playing in the Ranji Trophy for Delhi against Railways.

India versus England in a three-match ODI series
Team India is currently engaging in a three-match ODI series against England at home. India emerged victorious in the first match in Nagpur on February 6, defeating England by four wickets.
The upcoming matches of the series will take place in Cuttack and Ahmedabad on February 9 and 12, respectively. England needs to bounce back to keep the series alive.
Having lost the preceding T20I series 1-4, England appears to be struggling with form. They will need to turn things around quickly in Cuttack to stand a chance against India.
Both India and England will then travel to Pakistan and the UAE for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy later this month. India, however, will only compete in the UAE due to political tensions with Pakistan.
