Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr criticized former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for accusing the Trump administration of “incompetence” and putting Americans “at risk.” Carr highlighted a multi-billion dollar project under the Biden administration that he claimed had no results.
“You worked for an Administration that received $42 billion to connect millions of Americans to the Internet,” Carr said in a post on Saturday responding to Buttigieg. “1,163 days later, that Administration left without connecting a single person or starting any construction projects.”
“If we need expertise in incompetence, we will reach out,” he added, along with the peace sign emoji.
Carr was responding to a message Buttigieg posted on Friday criticizing the Department of Government Efficiency. Buttigieg’s post also mentioned Elon Musk and the DOGE team’s involvement with federal government agencies to combat government fraud and overspending.
