When does the main event begin?

Gervonta “Tank” Davis puts his WBA lightweight championship on the line against WBA super featherweight champion Lamont Roach on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

While PBC, Amazon, and PPV.com have a full card in store, many fans are most interested in learning when the main event will start.

Here is a look at the viewing information for the entire pay-per-view portion of the event.

Date: Saturday, March 1

When Does Gervonta Davis vs. Lamont Roach Start?

Based on information provided by the promotional teams, Davis and Roach are expected to begin their ring walks at 10 p.m. ET, with the fight likely starting around 10:30 p.m. following introductions and the national anthem.

Here is a look at the bout order in case you check in and need to know how many prelim and undercard fights are left before Davis and Roach fight.

Complete Davis-Roach Fight Card

  • Gervonta Davis vs. Lamont Roach: WBA lightweight title
  • Jose Valenzuela vs. Gary Antuanne Russell: WBA super lightweight title
  • Alberto Puello vs. Sandor Martin: WBC super lightweight title
  • Yoenis Tellez vs. Julian Williams: Super welterweight
  • Jarrett Hurd vs. Johan Gonzalez: Middleweight

Don’t Sleep on Valenzuela-Russell and Puello-Martin

Russell comes from a fighting family.

His older brother, Gary Russell Jr., is a former world champion, and Gary Antuanne is looking to become a world champion as he takes on WBA super lightweight champion, Jose Valenzuela.

Aside from Tank, no fighter received a bigger ovation at the weigh-ins and presser earlier in the week. Valenzuela is coming off an impressive performance in a victory over Isaac Cruz. Defeating Russell would serve as a solid title defense, positioning him for bigger opportunities.

The other championship fight on the card features Alberto Puello defending his WBC super lightweight title against Sandor Martin. If there was any psychological advantage gained during the faceoff, the edge belongs to Martin.

Puello looked friendly and almost taken aback by Martin’s seriousness. I’ve seen this work the other way, as the more intense fighter actually performed worse when the lights came on.

It’ll be interesting to see how this one shakes out. After Davis vs. Roach, the 2025 boxing calendar keeps moving. Here is a look at the biggest events leading into May, where Turki Alalshikh’s recently announced mega-card featuring Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney, and Teofimo Lopez takes place.
