Today, Ric Flair made a statement asserting that Cena would not be taking anything from Rhodes. He acknowledged Cena’s Cenation Leader status and highlighted his own 16-time World Title record in wrestling. Flair also declared his willingness to fight his way to the ring without taking blood thinners if necessary to protect Cody Rhodes.
“Let’s Get Serious! @JohnCena , I Love You And Respect You, But You Ain’t Taking Nothing From @CodyRhodes ! If I Have To Fight My Way Through Security To Hit The Ring, I Will. I’ll Take The Day Off Of Blood Thinners. LFG! Let’s Do This!” wrote Flair.
Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer covered Flair’s statements about a potential WWE return to aid Rhodes, clarifying that it was unlikely to happen.
“Flair said he loved and respected John Cena but he’d fight his way through security and take a day off blood thinners to save Cody Rhodes if he had to. That is not going to happen,” Meltzer said.
This development may disappoint fans expecting The Nature Boy’s comeback to WWE.

Ric Flair emphasized his unparalleled 16-time World Title reign in wrestling and seemed hesitant to entertain the idea of Cena surpassing his record. The Face that Runs The Place is currently tied with The Nature Boy at 16 World Championships.
However, it appears that WWE may not be keen on bringing Flair back despite Cena’s potential heel turn targeting Flair’s record.
