Former NBA Star Junior Bridgeman, Worth Over a Billion Dollars, Dies at Age 71

Junior Bridgeman, a 12-year NBA veteran and billionaire businessman, has passed away at the age of 71.

According to reports, Bridgeman had a medical emergency at the 45th Annual Leadership Luncheon on Scouting at The Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky, on Tuesday.

A journalist was interviewing Bridgeman during the event for the Lincoln Heritage Council, Scouting America, when he started feeling unwell in front of the attendees.

Emergency services were called immediately, and Bridgeman was transported from the luncheon by ambulance but unfortunately did not survive.

As a basketball legend in Louisville, Bridgeman made significant contributions to the sport and the community.

He played college basketball at the University of Louisville before joining the NBA, where he had a successful career primarily with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Bridgeman was not only a talented athlete but also a savvy businessman, owning a minority stake in the Bucks and various successful ventures.

The team expressed their condolences and highlighted his achievements both on and off the court.

The University of Louisville Athletics also released a statement mourning the loss of the beloved member of their basketball family.

Aside from his NBA career, Bridgeman had various successful business ventures, including owning restaurants and media publications.

Junior Bridgeman’s legacy transcends the sports world, impacting many lives through his philanthropic efforts and business acumen.

Forbes estimated his net worth at $3.7 billion, and he is survived by his wife, Doris, and three children — Eden, Justin, and Ryan.
