Charlie McDowell is celebrating his first Father’s Day.
Lily Collins marked the special occasion and honored her husband in an Instagram post on Sunday, June 15.
“Happy first Father’s Day @charliemcdowell. Tove is the luckiest little girl in the world to be yours. Seeing you with her is the most beautiful thing,” the Emily in Paris star, 36, wrote.
“You certainly were born to be a dad and you continue to amaze me every single day with the countless ways you protect and nurture her, make her laugh, and shower her with adoration,” she continued.

Collins concluded her post by saying how thankful she was to have McDowell in their lives. “What would we do without you? We love you so so SO much…,” she wrote.
The first-time parents shared the exciting news on social media in January that they welcomed a baby via surrogacy. The new mom shared a photo of her baby girl lying bundled in a bassinet. A monogrammed blanket with her name written in gold was draped over the cradle.
“Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell,” Collins wrote in a joint Instagram announcement shared with her husband.
“Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again,” the caption continued.
A week after announcing they had welcomed a child via surrogate, the actress and McDowell shared photos of their newborn daughter, Tove Jane McDowell.
McDowell was the first to post a photo of Tove by sharing an Instagram shot of himself sitting on a brown sofa. He gently held up Tove’s arms as she lay on his lap on top of a blanket.
“Dad mode ❤️,” he captioned the post.

McDowell is settling into being a girl dad. On Wednesday, Feb. 26, he shared a photo on his Instagram Stories of his baby daughter draped across his chest in his arms. Tove wore a pair of pale pink shorts and a white T-shirt, while her pacifier lay next to her stomach.
“Doesn’t get much better than this,” McDowell wrote across his photo.
The couple tied the knot in September 2021, the Barcelona star revealed on Instagram.
“I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife,” she captioned a photo of the couple kissing at the altar. “On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell…”
McDowell also shared the news on Instagram, writing, “I married the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I’ve ever known. I love you @lilyjcollins.”
“I’m so excited to be your WIFEY,” Collins commented on his post.
