Vietnam Airlines is set to make history with the launch of its revolutionary nonstop flight connecting Vietnam and Denmark, with the inaugural service between Ho Chi Minh City and Copenhagen scheduled for December 15, 2025. This milestone marks the first-ever direct flight between the two nations, reinforcing Vietnam Airlines’ commitment to expanding its global network and forging a vital connection between Southeast Asia and Northern Europe.

The new route will operate three times a week, utilizing the cutting-edge Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to ensure an exceptional and smooth travel experience for passengers. Flights will depart Ho Chi Minh City at 22:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while return services from Copenhagen will be scheduled at 10:50 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, providing convenient and flexible options for travelers on both sides of the globe.

With this new route, Vietnam Airlines aims to cater to the growing demand for travel between the two regions, serving tourists, business travelers, and those visiting family. The route will particularly benefit the Vietnamese community in Northern Europe, with over 70,000 Vietnamese nationals residing in countries like Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital, is renowned as one of Europe’s most desirable places to live. It is also a major hub for culture, business, innovation, and tourism in the region. As Northern Europe’s largest air transit center, Copenhagen plays a vital role in connecting passengers to neighboring countries, such as Sweden, Norway, and Finland. To celebrate the launch of this new route, Vietnam Airlines is offering special introductory round-trip fares from Copenhagen to Ho Chi Minh City. For bookings made by August 31, 2025, passengers can secure fares starting at 5,803 DKK or 754 EUR (approximately GBP 627), including taxes and fees.

For travel between December 16, 2025, and March 31, 2026, passengers booking by September 2025 can choose from affordable Economy Class tickets starting at 6,403 DKK or 832 EUR (about GBP 708). Business Class options are also available, starting from 22,134 DKK or 2,877 EUR (around GBP 2,451), all-inclusive of taxes and fees.

Additionally, to make the inaugural flights even more attractive, Vietnam Airlines is offering passengers a 30% discount on optional services, such as prepaid baggage, seat selection, and upgrades to higher service classes during the first three months of the route’s operation. Frequent flyers and Lotusmiles members will also enjoy complimentary tier upgrades, free membership cards, and bonus miles, depending on their travel class.
