Ohio State’s victory in the national championship after a decade led to their domination of the Associated Press’ All-College Football Playoff team.
Since only four teams emerged victorious in the playoffs this season – Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas, and Penn State – most players on the all-playoff team hail from these schools.
Due to the variation in defensive schemes, the AP included a defense with four linemen, four linebackers, and five defensive backs to cater to all strategies.
Here is a breakdown of this year’s AP All-College Football Playoff team:
QB Will Howard, Ohio State
Howard’s exceptional performance in the playoffs earned him the offensive MVP award in the championship game with remarkable stats.
RB TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State
Henderson’s stellar display on the field led Ohio State to multiple victories during the playoffs.
P James Rendell, Notre Dame
Rendell showcased his punting skills with precision, contributing to Notre Dame’s success in the playoffs.
KR Jayden Harrison, Notre Dame
Harrison’s remarkable touchdown return was a standout moment in Notre Dame’s playoff journey.
