Applebee’s has revived its popular Halloween-themed $1 rum cocktail drink, the “Dollar Zombie.” This year, it is part of several new additions to the menu in October.
The Dollar Zombie is made with rum, passion fruit, pineapple, cherry, and lime, and comes garnished with a gummy candy brain, paying homage to the zombies in movies.
The drink first made its debut in 2018 and has a price tag of just $1 (tax not included). Despite its affordability, some internet users were skeptical, doubting its alcohol content and labeling it as more of a gimmick.

Some embraced the Dollar Zombie as a budget-friendly option while others remained doubtful of its contents.
Applebee’s is also offering other Halloween-themed cocktails alongside the Dollar Zombie, including the new $5 “Boo Lagoon,” “Franken Mama,” and “Dracula’s Juice.”
The Boo Lagoon is a mix of Bacardi Superior rum, Malibu coconut rum, blue curaçao, and pineapple juice, served in Applebee’s signature margarita glass.
Additionally, Applebee’s has two new offerings from its $10 “Boo-zy Buckets” lineup, namely the Franken Mama and Dracula’s Juice.
