Atomicwork secures support from Khosla Ventures for its AI-driven solution as a modern replacement for traditional IT software such as ServiceNow

Atomicwork, a SaaS startup led by Indian founders, has secured $25 million in a recent funding round supported by Khosla Ventures. The company aims to expand and deploy AI agents to streamline communication and service delivery between employees and their organizations.

As digital adoption increases, enterprises struggle to provide timely support and easy access to information for their employees. Although the IT service management market offers tools to address this issue to some extent, implementing these solutions requires time and specialized resources. The emergence of AI has provided some relief, but creating a chatbot-like experience often requires an existing enterprise system like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Jira Service Management.

Atomicwork replaces the need for the incumbent enterprise systems with a modern AI-driven experience, enabling enterprises to offer automated service workflows. Employees can utilize these workflows to find work-related answers or access services from departments like HR, IT, or finance through integrations with various apps.

Vijay Rayapati, the co-founder and CEO, describes Atomicwork as a “full-stack AI ServiceNow,” targeting global companies with significant revenue and a large workforce.

Unlike traditional IT service management platforms that involve lengthy implementation cycles, Atomicwork’s platform can be implemented in a matter of weeks. The startup also provides a universal agent to help enterprises set up automated workflows.

Founded in 2022 by Rayapati, Kiran Darisi, and Parsuram Vijayasankar, Atomicwork initially started with an AI assistant to automate enterprise workflows. As the demand for automation and AI capabilities has grown, the company introduced its agentic service management platform, which utilizes AI agents to perform tasks across enterprise apps.

Atomicwork utilizes AI models from various sources to enable workflow automation. To address data security concerns, the startup offers enterprises the option to own encryption keys for their data or bring their own model endpoints into the platform.

The recent funding round, co-led by Khosla Ventures and Z47, also included participation from other venture capital firms. The funds will be used to attract more customers, enhance AI research and development, strengthen product and technology offerings, and build strategic partnerships.

Currently, Atomicwork serves eight customers, primarily in the U.S., and plans to expand its customer base by investing in R&D and partnerships with other companies.

The startup, with a team of over 60 people, including 50 in India, is focused on leveraging AI and automation to enhance enterprise service delivery.
