United Way of Door County, in partnership with the Door County Library and the Door County Bookmobile, will offer a Love of Reading book giveaway for families with young children from birth to age 5.
The Door County Bookmobile typically serves children in grades 4K through 6, but for this event, it will feature new books specifically for younger children, encouraging them to explore the bookmobile and learn more about the library. The event also allows children younger than 5 to sign up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which mails free books to kids.
The giveaways take place at the following times:
Tuesday, June 24
• 9:30-10:30 am, Forestville Library, 123 Hwy 42
• 11:15 am – 12:15 pm, Sturgeon Bay Library, 107 S. 4th Ave.
Wednesday, June 25
• 10:30-11:30 am, Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Library, 2323 Mill Road
• 12:15-1:15 pm, Baileys Harbor Library, 2392 Cty F
• 1:45-2:45 pm, Egg Harbor Library, 7845 Church St.
The Love of Reading giveaway is a collaborative effort to nurture early childhood development and foster a love of books and stories at an early age. Each child can choose from a wide selection of age-appropriate books to take home. Books will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
