Cam’ron: The Memoir of a Harlem Rap Legend

Harlem rap icon Cam’ron has officially signed a $750,000 book deal with Simon & Schuster to publish his debut memoir, offering fans an unfiltered look at his journey from street hustler to hip-hop legend and multimedia mogul.

Inside the Memoir

Slated for release in February 2026, Cam’ron’s yet‑to‑be‑titled memoir will chronicle his life from growing up in East Harlem, navigating the streets, and rising to fame with platinum hits like “Oh Boy” and “Hey Ma.” It will also delve into his role as Dipset leader, his forays into fashion, film (Is It A Crime), and sports/media—such as hosting It Is What It Is and Talk With Flee.

The memoir promises “candid stories about the hustle, fame, fashion and business lessons” learned along the way. Expect Cam’ron’s signature Harlem flair, unapologetic honesty, and humorous storytelling—just like in his music and media appearances.

In a statement, Cam’ron said, “I’m happy to have this deal done. Hopefully the book will be released February of 2026 and that everyone can take something from my memoir when they read it.” He views the memoir as a chance to share lessons and experiences gathered over a vibrant, multifaceted career.
