An ex-casino dealer in Ohio has been accused of stealing from the pot multiple times over the summer.
Court records do not specify the amount the former poker room dealer at JACK Cleveland Casino is accused of taking.
The 51-year-old individual from North Olmsted, Ohio, pleaded not guilty on Nov. 15 to charges of violating casino gaming laws and misdemeanor theft. Another court hearing is scheduled for early December.
An attorney representing the man was contacted for comment but did not respond.
An investigation was launched after a poker player reported that the dealer had stolen chips from the betting pile during a game in September, as per Ohio Casino Control Commission records. The casino’s review of surveillance footage revealed multiple instances of theft. The dealer was terminated the following day. According to court documents, he allegedly stole from the table 14 times since early August.
