Add kids entertainment, fairground rides and a real variety of food stalls into the mix and there really was something for everyone.
Friday evening set the scene for the rest of the weekend with tributes to Queen, Green Day and The Prodigy lighting up the main stage and excellent tributes to Nirvana and Eminem in the Big Top.
I also managed to catch bits and pieces around the site before rounding off the evening with a touch of ABBA back in the Big Top.
Saturday promised to be my favourite day with the mighty Feeder and We Are Scientists gracing the main stage and neither disappointed.
Away from the main stage and the lure of the bigger bands the rest of the festival was running smoothly across five stages.
Rock, Pop, Soul, Rap, DJ sets and Country were all represented along with the always wonderful Mother Ukers and eternal favourites Lady Winwoods Maggot ensured everyone was spoiled for choice.
I will admit to having a slightly later start on the Sunday arriving just in time to catch The Dub Pistols who are a firm festival favourite for good reason.
Vengaboys followed, who must be one of the best party bands around.
The crowd certainly agreed and could not stop jumping and dancing for the entire set.
Happy Mondays followed with Bez keeping the crowd on their toes with his infectious dancing and some great tunes.
The weather started to turn but a bit of rain was never going to dampen the spirits just as the time for Sunday headliners UB40 approached.
This festival continues to go from strength to strength and shows no sign of that changing.
Thanks must go not only to the organisers but also to the stage crews who were turning bands around at a rapid rate and everyone else involved in making this compact festival run as smoothly as it did.
An excellent weekend was had by all, and here’s to 2026.
