Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., expressed that the confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the head of the Department of Health and Human Services is not a guarantee, despite efforts by President Donald Trump’s nominee to garner support.
During an appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” Fetterman shared that he has had two meetings with Kennedy in his office and that his decision on the HHS nominee will be well-informed.
“I’ve dedicated time to thoroughly understand his background and to get to know the man,” Fetterman stated, noting, “I approached the situation with an open mind and observed the hearing. That’s how the process unfolds.”

When asked if he has made a decision on his vote for Kennedy, Fetterman mentioned conversations with colleagues on both sides to address the issue.
“It has been quite challenging. Definitely. It’s not a simple decision for the nomination,” Fetterman shared with “Fox News Sunday” host Shannon Bream.
“I have made an effort to truly comprehend and engage with all the nominees, treating everyone with respect and dedicating time to listen. That has been my commitment,” he added.
