Discover Which Free Rewards Come with Each Gift

It’s that time of year again. Fortnite has started its annual Winterfest event to kick off the holiday season. This year, a missed feature from last year has made a return. In the Winterfest Lodge, players can discover a heap of Christmas presents waiting to be unwrapped, all within a cozy cabin beautifully decorated for the festive season.

Inside each present, players will find various cosmetic rewards that are free for all, ranging from Contrails to Pickaxes, and even some festive Skins, like the Snoop Dogg skin showcased above. During the Winterfest 2024 event, players can unwrap one present per day by tearing off the wrapping paper.

There’s a plethora of rewards waiting to be uncovered. Let’s explore the contents of each gift, but if you prefer to be surprised, it’s best to skip this section. Each gift is “from” a different Fortnite NPC, such as Sgt. Winter and Guffmas Tree, showing their thoughtfulness this holiday season.

Fortnite Winterfest Presents

• The tall pinkish purple present: Peppermint Paraglider Glider
• The tall present with the blue bow: Yule Bag Back Bling
• The tall red present: Snow Sparkle Contrail
• The square purple present: That’s Cold Jac! Back Bling
• The long blue present: Dogg Treat Pickaxe

On the left side of Snoop Dogg is another collection of Christmas presents.

• Tall yellow present on the left: Snoop’s Holladizzle Bass (Bass Guitar)
• Tall green present: Yulejacket (Skin)
• Short rectangular yellow present on the left: Humbug Slicer (Pickaxe)
• Short light purple present on the left: Tree Keys, Choose Naughty and Crashed Chill (Sprays)

The final present, a yellow box in the center, holds the Snoop Dogg skin. However, this present won’t be available until later in the event. You won’t be able to unwrap the Yulejacket skin just yet—it will prompt you to “Save for last!”

You can also toggle the neon Llama sign on and off in the Lodge while warming up by the fire. By the fire, players can passively earn XP as well.

The Mariah Carey skin, Santa Shaq skin, and other holiday cosmetics are up for grabs in the Fortnite Item Shop. The deadline to unwrap all these gifts and partake in the festivities in the immensely popular Battle Royale game is January 7th.

Call of Duty is hosting its Christmas event concurrently, offering a series of free rewards earned by collecting Archies in matches. Some players received an excessive amount of these at the event’s outset (I had nearly 35,000), making it exceedingly easy to unlock everything immediately, including a brand new sniper rifle. Perhaps this is Activision’s way of apologizing for the recent cheating issues plaguing Warzone.
