First dates can be incredibly stressful for most people, but rest assured, you’ve probably never had a first date as disastrous as Meghann Fahy’s character in the upcoming horror movie Drop from The White Lotus.
Directed by Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day) and produced by Blumhouse (M3GAN, Five Nights at Freddy’s), Drop follows the story of widowed mother Violet (played by Fahy) as she ventures on her first date after many years. Her date, Henry (played by Brandon Sklenar, known for It Ends With Us), turns out to be charming and delightful. However, things take a turn for the worse when Violet starts receiving threatening memes on airdrop that put her son (Jacob Robinson) and babysitting sister (Violett Beane) in danger. As she discovers a masked intruder in her home, watching her through restaurant security cameras, Violet realizes the only way to save her family is by eliminating Henry. Will she go through with this drastic decision? Is there any chance for her to turn the tide and thwart the sinister scheme?
Drop is set to hit theaters on April 11.
