It is not advisable to keep two male betta fish in the same tank due to their territorial and aggressive nature. Similarly, Silicon Valley journalist Kara Swisher predicts a potential clash between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and re-elected President Donald Trump, both known for their strong personalities.
Swisher, who claimed to be familiar with Musk, expressed her views to CNN, stating, “They’re both narcissists and there can be only one narcissist as head of the country and that’s Donald Trump, who just won the election.”
Responding to Swisher’s comments, Trump-Vance Transition spokesperson Karoline Leavitt emphasized the positive relationship between Musk and Trump, praising Musk’s leadership and ideas. However, Musk did not provide a comment on the matter.
A partnership at a price
During Trump’s campaign, Musk showed his support by setting up a $1 million sweepstakes for those who signed a petition by American PAC. However, there were issues raised regarding the selection process of winners, leading to a lawsuit. Musk’s super PAC backed Trump with a significant amount of money, with sources estimating Musk’s personal contribution to be over $130 million.
Not everyone views the relationship between Musk and Trump favorably. Billionaire Mark Cuban highlighted Musk’s intentions, stating that Musk is heavily involved in supporting the Republicans. The fluctuation in Tesla’s stock price post-election also indicates the impact of Musk’s association with Trump.
Swisher pointed out that Trump’s admiration for Musk’s wealth and influence plays a significant role in their relationship. However, she hinted at potential conflicts arising due to their similar personalities and desire for attention.
Trump and Musk, perhaps not best friends forever
Within a week of Trump’s reelection, concerns have been raised about Musk’s behavior by some staff members. Swisher commented on Musk’s assertive nature and predicted potential power struggles between him and Trump, given their shared desire for control and attention.
Swisher emphasized that clashes between Trump and Musk are likely to occur, especially if Musk seeks too much attention or influence. The dynamics of their partnership could be tested as they navigate their roles and priorities in the political landscape.
It remains to be seen how the relationship between Trump and Musk evolves, with Swisher suggesting potential conflicts in the future.
