Culture Creative Entertainment, the talent agency founded by former Abrams Artists Agency agents Brad Rosenfeld, Paul Weitzman and Karen Kirkland, has promoted from within.
Evan Gruters has been named agent at the company, being promoted from literary coordinator. He started at the company as an intern in 2022 before being promoted to executive assistant. He was previously in feature development at Voltage Pictures and worked at OTT streaming platform Atmosphere based out of Austin, Texas.
Gruters is the company’s latest agent after it promoted Adrian Gonzalez to agent at the end of 2023. The company also hired former Netflix exec Sherley Ibarra as a literary agent.
Rosenfeld and Weitzman, who were previously co-heads of Abrams Artists Agency, which was rebranded to A3 Artists Agency in March 2020, and fellow lit agent Kirkland set up the company in July 2019.
“I’m beyond excited to be stepping into this new role within the Culture Creative team. To continue working with such passionate and talented creatives, to help share people’s voices and stories with the rest of the world, is something that I’m truly grateful to do for a living. And I cannot wait to get started,” said Gruters.
“Evan has showed his commitment to our clients and his good taste in material since his internship with us. He has been an important part of our team at CCE rising from assistant to coordinator and we look forward to seeing him thriving as a representative. Well deserved,” added Weitzman and Rosenfeld
