The City of Dunkirk’s Music on the Pier Summer Concert Series will feature Silver Xtreme and Midnight Recovery for Ladies Night on the Dunkirk Pier today. The concerts are presented by Dunkirk Festivals, APG, Van Buren Drive-In, National Grid, stage sponsor DFT Communications and Piede Tents, LLC.
The free concert, sponsored by Cattaraugus County Bank, will start at 6 p.m. and end at 9:15 p.m.
Established in 1987 and fronted by veteran vocalist Patsy Silver with a commanding stage presence and searing vocals, Silver Xtreme is a high energy classic rock band. Silver Xtreme’s other members include Joey Cristofanilli (bass guitar, vocals), Tom DiVito (guitar, vocals), Andrew Kuhn (guitar, vocals) and Johnpatrick Filutze (drums).
The band was also awarded ‘Buffalo’s Best Rock Band” at the Buffalo Music Awards.
Midnight Recovery is primarily a classic rock band with four members that includes a wide variety of material from many eras of music. Midnight Recovery’s music is from the 70s to today, from the genres of rock, country and pop with diverse set lists.
The band includes Cortney Chyme (lead vocals), Todd Langworthy (bass, vocals), Randy Barnard (guitar) and Marty Raymondo (fill-in on drums).
Midnight Recovery has been nominated as Best Classic Rock Band by the Buffalo Music Awards and has performed at clubs and festivals from Rochester to Pennsylvania.
Guests are reminded to bring a chair. Food trucks and other vendors will be on site along with the city’s beverage tent. The Dunkirk Boardwalk Marketplace and surrounding harbor front businesses will also be open with food, drink and merchandise options.
