Real estate brokerage brand eXp has put in place an enterprise software agreement with home search portal and technology provider Movoto, Inman learned in a March 11 statement.

Specifically, the deal will give teams and agents under the remote brokerage brand access to Lever by Movoto, a solution the release describes as a “we do it all for you” product, “designed to help individual agents scale their businesses more efficiently.”

The software offers end-to-end business support, providing marketing tools, lead generation, lead conversion coaching, transaction oversight and customer relationship management (CRM), among other features. Lever’s intent is to shrink back office and other administrative necessities that can burden sales productivity, “enabling agents to focus on client relationships and sales rather than administrative tasks.”

In a statement, eXp CEO Leo Pareja said that he believes every agent deserves the same opportunity to succeed, and that Movoto’s software offers that.

“That’s why we’re excited to introduce Lever, a game-changer that gives individual agents the structured support, systems, and solutions they need to thrive, scale, and stay ahead in today’s fast-moving market,” Pareja said.

The two companies coordinated on a joint website detailing the new relationship.

Austin-based home search engine Movoto was acquired by technology company OJO Labs in 2022 after it closed on $62.5 million in funding. The company then rebranded under the better known Movoto moniker about a year ago. Lever is a result of OJO’s acquisition of The LEAD Syndicate, an agent-focused technology company.

Chris Heller, president of OJO, explained in a call with Inman last March that Lever will help individual agents who aren’t going to join a team but who also aren’t low producers on the verge of washing out of the industry. He added that “this group in the middle is a very large group.”

About his latest deal, Heller said in the release that Lever is ready to be delivered at scale.

“By introducing that support system to eXp’s vast agent network, we’re allowing those agents to get their time back and focus on what they do best: helping clients buy and sell homes,” he said.

Lever is not eXp specific, Movoto can provide a brokerage-agnostic installation to companies nationwide. However, Movoto’s Nikki Miller said eXp made an ideal customer “given its longstanding reputation as an industry leader and innovator committed to providing agents with cutting-edge services and resources to enhance their businesses.”

Miller is the vice president of agent platforms and Lever by Movoto.
