Exploring Summit County: The Philanthro-Bus Tour Uncovers Arts and Culture Needs

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Community Foundation is starting a new fundraising endeavor. The inaugural Philanthro-Bus Tour is focused on supporting the vibrant arts and culture sector in Summit County.

Bus tour starts at 4:15 p.m. on July 8

Email alexis@parkcitycf.org if you are interested in joining this event. The event starts at 4:15 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8 at the Mawhinney lot at the Park City Library.

This inaugural Philanthro-Bus Tour will take you on a party bus to various site visits. This event will be focused on local nonprofits supporting the vibrant arts and culture sector in Summit County. The nonprofits will engage with you, Park City Community Foundation’s generous supporters, and Park City’s steadfast nonprofit community. All four of these organizations received grants in 2024.

Bus tour stops at four locations

The first stop will be Glenwood Cemetery with the Park City Museum, followed by the Kimball Art Center. Kimball Art Center is currently exhibiting Step After Step. At the third stop you will be welcomed by the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County at Create PC, which opened their summer exhibition on June 27. The evening will conclude at the Noches de Verano concert hosted by Mountain Town Music. Food and drinks will be provided.

If this inaugural tour is a success the Park City Community Foundation plans to organize bus tours highlighting nonprofits in the environmental, educational and other sectors in the future. The Philanthro-Bus Tour is a free event.
