Exploring the Legacy of Eldridge Pope Brewery: A Talk in Dorchester

The Dorchester and District Gardening Club’s next meeting features a talk by Jeremy Pope, ex-Director and Chief Executive of Eldridge Pope and Co. Brewery on ‘The Life and Times of Eldridge Pope’.

The talk will be at the United Church Hall in Charles Street, Dorchester, on Wednesday, August 6.

Mr Pope will tell stories of the brewery’s fascinating history from its beginnings in 1833 to the development of the Brewery site next to the railway line, now the site of Brewery Square.

Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

Entry is free for gardening club members and it costs £4 for visitors on the door.

There will also be a bring and buy stall and a draw, with tea/coffee and biscuits available afterwards.

All are welcome. Contact: Jane, Secretary on 01305 268523 or email dorchestergardening@gmail.com
