FaceTime Reimagined: Focus on Just Your Face


In today’s Tech Bytes, ABC’s Andrew Dymburt shares, Apple has a new feature that allows people to FaceTime using your face and only your face.

In today’s Tech Bytes, making sure FaceTime is just for your face. The video conferencing app will soon have an optional feature that pauses the call if it detects nudity. The company says your video remains private; it isn’t sent or saved anywhere.

Meanwhile, Microsoft and Xbox have invited developers to join a roundtable to offer feedback on the use of A.I. tools in games. The invitation for the event in Germany reportedly went out Tuesday, the same day Microsoft announced up to 9,000 layoffs, many of them in the Xbox division.

Finally, a very expensive version of Lost in Space: an $88 million satellite backed by Jeff Bezos has gone dark. It was intended to locate sources of methane emissions around the world, a five-year mission now ending after just 15 months.
