Fire Award winners ignite Cincinnati’s startup scene


CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – Pivotal.

It’s the one word to emerge when 80 Acres Farms CEO Mike Zelkind was asked to describe his company’s 2024.

For fellow startups and ecosystem mainstays such as Blue North, Cintrifuse Capital, Luma Financial, Medality and Vixiv, similar refrains were heard.

“Transformative.” “Crucial.” “Historic.”

The common denominator? All had blockbuster years with big fundraises, key hires, acquisitions and/or high-profile product debuts. Their success is being rewarded by Cincy Inno as part of our publication’s annual Fire Awards, our premier recognition program. A total of 22 companies were selected, spanning five categories: Disruptor, Startup of the Year, Venture, Health Care and Best Overall Tech.
